Burnt Black Friday 2025: Terms & Conditions

These Black Friday Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all promotions, discounts and offers run by Burnt Studios (trading as Burnt) during the Black Friday 2025 promotional period. By placing an order, redeeming a promotion, or otherwise participating in the Black Friday sale, you agree to these Terms in addition to our standard Terms of Trade, Privacy Policy and any other policies displayed on our website. If there is any conflict between these Terms and our general Terms of Trade, these Black Friday Terms will prevail for the duration of the promotional period.

1. Definitions & interpretation

“Promotion” / “Sale” means the Black Friday discount(s), offer(s) and related promotions administered by Burnt during the Promotion Period specified above.

“Promotion Period” means the dates and times stated at the top of this document or specific start/end times shown next to an offer. All times are given in South African Standard Time (SAST) unless otherwise stated.

“You” / “Customer” means the person ordering goods or services from Burnt.

“Goods” / “Items” means physical or digital products sold by Burnt through the Burnt website and participating sales channels during the Promotion Period.

Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.

2. Applicability of discounts & general promotional rules

All Black Friday discounts are valid only during the Promotion Period and are subject to availability. Where an offer has a stated start and end time, that time is definitive.

Discounts, promotional codes or other offers cannot be applied to orders placed outside the Promotion Period, and we will not make retroactive price adjustments for purchases made prior to or after the Promotion Period.

Offers may be limited to specific products, collections, price bands, channels (online only / in-store only) or customer groups as expressly stated in the individual promotion. Check the product page and promotional messaging carefully.

Offers cannot be combined with other discount codes, offers or promotions unless explicitly stated. Burnt reserves the right to refuse the stacking of discounts or use of multiple voucher codes on a single order.

Burnt reserves the right to limit quantities per customer, household or cardholder if necessary to ensure fair access.

Important: placing an item in your cart does not reserve it.

Placing an item in your cart does not reserve that item or guarantee its availability. Inventory is updated in real time and items may become unavailable between the time they are added to a cart and the moment payment is processed. Burnt is not responsible for stock changes that occur while items remain in a customer’s cart.

3. Ordering, availability & pricing errors

Product availability is subject to stock levels. Stock shown as available at the time of ordering is not a guarantee of availability until the order has been confirmed and dispatched.

Burnt makes every reasonable effort to ensure prices listed are correct. In the event an item is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical error, technical fault, or other mistake, Burnt reserves the right to cancel the order and notify you. If the correct price is lower than the charged price, Burnt will refund the difference. If the correct price is higher, Burnt will contact you and, where appropriate, cancel the order and refund any monies paid.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or breach of these Terms.

4. Order modifications, cancellations & address changes

Due to the high volume of orders during the Promotion Period, once a Black Friday order is placed we are generally unable to modify items, sizes, colours, shipping address, billing details or quantities.

If you require a modification or cancellation, please contact Customer Support immediately at support@burnt.co. We will attempt to cancel or modify your order only if it has not yet been processed or dispatched. Cancellation or modification cannot be guaranteed.

Shipping address changes requested after an order has been placed during the Promotion Period cannot normally be accepted. If an address change is essential, contact Customer Support as quickly as possible; options may include intercepting the shipment with the carrier or returning the parcel on delivery, but such actions are not guaranteed and may incur fees.

5. Delivery & delays

We endeavour to dispatch and deliver Black Friday orders as quickly as possible; however, deliveries may experience delays due to unusually high demand. Please allow additional processing and transit time.

Delivery estimates given at checkout are estimates only and are not guaranteed. If an item is delayed, we will contact you with updated information where possible.

International orders may be subject to customs duties, taxes and/or import fees payable by the recipient. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in Burnt's shipping charges.

6. Returns, refunds & exchanges (Black Friday purchases)

Burnt will accept returns, refunds and exchanges for Black Friday purchases subject to the conditions below.

Eligibility:

  • Returns, exchanges and refunds apply to items purchased during the Promotion Period, subject to these Terms and our normal returns policy requirements (reasonable proof of purchase, original condition, tags attached, hygiene seals unbroken where applicable).
  • Items must be returned within 60 days of the purchase date unless a different timeframe is stated on the product page. Burnt may change this timeframe for specific promotions; check the product page or promotional messaging for exceptions.
  • Returned items must be unworn, unwashed and in their original packaging with all tags and hygiene stickers intact. Burnt reserves the right to refuse or reduce a refund where the item has been used, soiled, damaged or missing components.

    How to request a return / exchange:
  • To begin a return, refund or exchange, please use our returns & exchanges portal. Do not send returns to our distribution centre unless you have been issued a returns authorisation or instructed to do so.
  • Customers are required to provide proof of purchase (order number, name and email used for the order) to process returns, refunds or exchanges.

    Refunds:
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method or gift card where possible. Refunds will be processed within a reasonable time after Burnt receives and inspects the returned item (typically within 14 business days), but the actual time for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your card issuer or payment provider.
  • If a refund to the original payment method is not possible (for example: purchase made using a gift card that has been fully redeemed), Burnt may issue a store credit or gift card of equivalent value in place of a direct refund. Gift cards will be issued in accordance with Burnt’s gift card terms.

    Exchanges:
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability. If the requested replacement item is available, Burnt will dispatch the exchange once the returned item has been received and inspected.
  • If an exchange cannot be fulfilled because the replacement item is out of stock, Burnt will offer a gift card of equivalent value, at the customer’s preference.
  • Where the replacement item costs more than the returned item, the customer will be asked to pay the difference prior to dispatch. Where the replacement item costs less, Burnt will refund the price difference as described above.

    Shipping costs for returns/exchanges:
  • Unless the return is due to an error on Burnt’s part (faulty item, incorrect item shipped), the customer is generally responsible for the cost of return shipping (first exchange is free). Burnt may at its discretion offer a prepaid return label for certain returns or promotions; where provided, the cost will be indicated in the returns instructions.
  • For faulty or incorrectly shipped items, Burnt will cover the return shipping costs and arrange collection or provide a prepaid returns label where applicable.

    Sale items & promotional exclusions:
  • Sale items are eligible for return, refund or exchange under these Terms, except where the product page or promotional terms explicitly state that a product is “final sale” or “non-refundable”. Such exclusions will be clearly displayed at the time of purchase.

    Consumer rights:
  • These Terms do not affect your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws. If an item is faulty or not as described, you retain whatever additional legal rights are available to you.

7. Gift cards & store credit

Where Burnt issues gift cards or store credit in respect of returns, exchanges, refunds or cancelled/modified orders, those gift cards are subject to Burnt’s gift card terms and conditions available on our website.

Gift cards issued in exchange for returns/exchanges will reflect the full amount paid for the returned item including any taxes paid but excluding shipping fees and B-Bucks unless Burnt chooses to include such fees.

Burnt reserves the right to refuse to issue a gift card where we reasonably suspect abuse or fraud.

8. Promotional codes, bundles & free gifts

Promotional codes must be entered at checkout and applied before payment is made. Burnt is not responsible for codes not entered at the time of purchase.

Free gifts offered as part of a promotion are subject to availability and supplied on a first-come first-served basis while stocks last. Burnt reserves the right to substitute a free gift of equal or greater value where necessary.

Bundles sold as a single promotional SKU must be returned as a bundle unless specified otherwise. Partial returns of bundle components may result in partial refunds or store credit only.

9. Fraud prevention & order limits

To preserve fairness and protect against fraud, Burnt reserves the right to impose per-customer purchasing limits, require additional verification, or cancel/suspend suspicious orders.

Orders suspected to be placed with the intent to resell, arbitrage or exploit promotional pricing may be cancelled and any refunds may be issued as Burnt gift cards at our discretion.

10. Third-party marketplaces, affiliates & partners

Where Burnt sells via third-party marketplaces, platforms or retail partners, additional terms and conditions of those third parties may apply. Promotions shown on third-party platforms may differ from those on Burnt’s official site.

Returns for items purchased via third-party channels must be handled in accordance with the channel’s returns policy unless Burnt explicitly instructs otherwise.

11. Faulty goods & warranty

If goods are faulty, misdescribed or not of merchantable quality, please contact Customer Support immediately and provide photographic evidence where requested. Burnt will assess and, where appropriate, replace or refund the item in accordance with our warranty policy and applicable consumer protection laws.

Warranty remedies are in addition to any statutory rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

12. Data, marketing & communications

By participating in Black Friday promotions you may receive transactional emails and updates about your order. If you have opted in to marketing communication, you may also receive promotional communications from Burnt. You can manage or opt out of marketing communications through the methods described in our Privacy Policy.

13. Right to cancel, vary or suspend promotion

Burnt reserves the right to cancel, suspend, withdraw or vary the Promotion or any specific offer at any time without prior notice and for any reason, including (but not limited to) technical faults, suspected fraud, stock shortages, unexpected demand or supplier issues.

Any decision to cancel or vary a promotion will be at Burnt’s sole discretion. Refunds for cancelled orders will be handled in accordance with the refund provisions above.

14. Liability & indemnity

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Burnt’s liability under or in connection with any Black Friday promotion is limited to the value of the order placed by the customer. Burnt shall not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss arising in connection with the Promotion.

You agree to indemnify Burnt against any losses, liabilities, costs or expenses arising from a breach of these Terms or fraudulent abuse of any promotion.

15. Governing law & dispute resolution

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights where those rights cannot be excluded by law.

17. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our standard Terms of Trade and Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Burnt in respect of the Promotion.

By completing a purchase during Burnt’s Black Friday 2025 Promotion Period you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
